Britney Spears Earns Raves as a Dance Teacher

Britney Spears headed back into the dance studio Tuesday night to teach a class of 15 children. And her pint-sized pupils are singing her praises. "I like Britney,” 5-year-old Elissa Bouganim, who has taken three classes with the pop star, tells PEOPLE. “Today, first we were dancing slow, and then faster and faster …. Then we did the fish-move and lots of other fun things." The troubled 26-year-old has become a semi-regular instructor at the Millennium Dance Complex in the past month – as she has settled into an uncharacteristically quiet routine overseen by her dad Jamie. "It's just amazing to watch Britney with the kids," says Elissa's mom, Pam. "Elissa won't stop dancing now, that's all she wants to do. Britney has really inspired her." In fact, Elissa has grown so fond of her new teacher, she even gave Spears a gift during Tuesday's class. "It was a picture of [Peter Pan's] Tinkerbell," she says. "And she gave me a hug." These days, Elissa would be happy if Spears taught all her classes. "Britney is nice," she says. "I want to dance with Britney all the time because it's so much fun."

Jamie Spears is Being Paid to be Britney's Conservator

Jamie Spears is going to be paid $2,500 per week to act as conservator for his daughter Britney's estate, according to the minute order obtained today by PageSix.com. He is allowed to lease one vehicle, and the funds have been released to pay medical expert Dr. Judith Armstrong her $4,000 retainer.
The court order released this afternoon also states that Samuel Ingham, the probate volunteer panel attorney (who testified last month that Britney wasn't mentally competent to retain counsel) is to receive compensation of $58,000 for his services.
Additionally, the court order states that Britney's not to have any contact with her former pal Sam Lutfi.

Brit's Dad Stays the Boss

Britney Spears' dad, Jamie, will be in charge of her affairs through the summer.
Court public information officer Allan Parachini confirms to PageSix.com that lawyers for Jamie filed an unexpected ex-parte motion in the matter today, and Commissioner Goetz extended the conservatorship through July 31.
Parachini also tells us that the original hearing on the case, scheduled for March 10, is still on the calendar and will take place. Also on the horizon for Brit: a custody hearing (on Monday as well), and a hearing on the temporary restraining order against Sam Lutfi (on March 17).
In addition to extending his conservatorship, PageSix.com has learned that America's busiest dad attended the deposition of Michael Sands today in connection to the custody case.
Sands, a former spokesperson for Kevin Federline's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, currently speaks for Sam Lutfi and Jon Eardley, the attorney who failed in an attempt to get all of Brit's cases moved to federal court.

Jamie Lynn's Nightmare Pregnancy

Is Jamie Lynn Spears' pregnancy turning into a crisis situation? With mother Lynne Spears out of town taking care of Britney, the 16-year-old turned to the Crisis Pregnancy Center of Southwest Mississippi for help on Friday. According to a family insider, Jamie Lynn is frustrated that her mother is focusing so much of her energy on her older sister. "Jamie Lynn wants her parents to stop babying Britney," the source says. "It is stressful for Lynne and Jamie because they know Britney is in trouble and they want Jamie Lynn to understand it."
But the stress doesn't end there for Jamie Lynn. She has been suffering from extreme bouts of morning sickness, a family insider tells PageSix.com. "Lynne was having her take ginger root for a while, but it has not helped [with the nausea]. Then her doctor had her take pills and she sucks on those pregi-pops," which are a natural morning sickness aid that seem to be helping. Jamie Lynn is also worried about the nearly 20 pounds she's gained since conceiving. "For a lot of women it's not big deal, but for a 16-year-old, it has stressed her out," the source says.
The weight gain is a concern because Jamie Lynn still plans on living out her dream of being the "best female actress alive." Says the source, "She is planning on staying with the baby for the first year while she gets herself back into shape, but after that, she wants to get back to work.” For now, it seems Jamie Lynn is having to plan out her future on her own. The teenager was turned away at the Crisis Pregnancy Center because the facility was not open. "I don't know why Jamie Lynn Spears would come here on a Friday. We're closed," says Jeanine Mote, director of the Crisis Pregnancy Center. The church-funded facility provides counseling for mommies-to-be as well as young women who are considering abortions or giving up their children for adoption. "Jamie Lynn's not in our Mommy and Me program or taking parenting classes with us. I don't know why she would come. She hasn't contacted us about coming here or ever called." The director adds: "She's never made a financial donation or anything like that."

A court commissioner has ruled that Jamie Spears can draw $2,500 a week from Britney's accounts as conservator of her affairs. Sam Lutfi Ready to Fight Restraining Order

Nothing, not even a restraining order, will keep Sam Lutfi away from Britney Spears. The pop star's former pal, who was formally served with papers two weeks ago, is fighting back and has enlisted the help of none other than Brit herself to overturn the restraining order.According to a News of the World report, Sam, who's banned from going within 250 yards of the pop star, contacted Britney via a third party to sway the 26-year-old back on his side."I am going to call Britney to the stand so she can tell the world how I was helping her," Sam reportedly said. "I am innocent. I am Britney's friend and would never hurt her." That's hard to believe based on Lynne Spears' testimony for the restraining order, in which she revealed Sam had been secretly drugging Brit and controlling every aspect of her life. But in Sam's mind, that doesn't warrant a restraining order, and he's prepared to "fight all the way" to regain access to Britney, his spokesman Michael Sands says."Sam is a good guy who does not agree with this restraining order," he says.The 33-year-old is ready to duke it out in court in a March 17 hearing, where he'll claim Britney had access to drugs from other visitors in her home and fears her life is being taken over by her dad and co-conservator of her assets, Jamie Spears.And as for Brit? We've been hearing rumblings for a good week now that something EXPLOSIVE is going to happen in the Britney conservatorship/Sam Lutfi restraining order legal mess. Sam's spokesman Michael Sands -- who also happens to be the spokesman for the attorney Britney apparently retained, John Eardley -- quotes Eardley as saying:"I have uncovered explosive evidence that will shock the world. If so much as a hair on Britney Spears' head is harmed, I will hold everyone who has anything to do with Britney, personally liable and the people involved will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. I will leave no stone unturned!"Meanwhile, News of the World reports that Britney will be the star witness in a hearing set for March 17 in which she and her attorney Eardley will try to overturn the restraining order obtained by her family, against Sam Lutfi.The report says Britney will present evidence against her parents and that Sam will argue Britney is getting drugs from "other visitors" -- visitors other than whom, we're not sure. There have hardly been any visitors other than Britney's parents and Adnan.So will this hearing happen and will Britney take the stand???Perhaps the larger question is whether Eardley is even able to legally represent Britney. Because Brit's father was named conservator, that would suggest that the court has found her unable to retain her own council and, in fact, not authorized to do so.

I got word over the weekend that she’s reached out to a former collaborator, dancer Leo Moctezuma. According to a source, the two spoke on the phone last week, but they didn’t get into details about any one particular project.
“They’re supposed to talk again this week,” my source said.
Moctezuma was a dancer on two Spears tours: Dream Within a Dream and Onyx Hotel. He also worked on her videos for the singles “Overprotected,” “I’m a Slave 4 U” and “Me Against the Music.”

The Nickelodeon star's big sis Britney was spotted grabbing gifts for the new little guy at luxe baby boutique Petit Tresor in West Hollywood. PageSix.com has learned that the shop will outfit her nursery as well.
The junior starlet has set her sights on an ocean theme for her unborn son's first bedroom, and has purchased around $7,000 of "very basic" furniture.
The room will feature classic pieces like a round crib, standard changing table and an armoire, all in white.
"This is the most fun I've had shopping in a long time," Jamie Lynn said, according to our spies.
MSNBC reports that Brit picked up organic blankies from Robbie Adrian ($116 each), favorites of stars like Matthew McConaughey and Jennifer Lopez.
It's lot of shopping for a girl who should have ample hand-me-downs from big sis Britney, mom to two boys, Sean Preston and Jayden James. When will grandma Lynn get a break from the Y chromosome?
Jamie Lynn is reportedly due in late May. Reps for Jamie Lynn did not return calls for comment.

The baby mama of two of Kevin Federline's children bought a $20 eco-friendly "My Bag Cares" bag — which she then proceeded to fill up with free Altoids.
While shoveling in tins and tins of the mints, Shar, 31, told an Altoids salesgirl: "I'm going to give them to K-Fed to give to Britney, because Britney needs them."

If Britney Spears is singing with Heidi Montag, poor Brit Brit is worse off than anyone realized. And this is a woman who's been hospitalized for her issues -- twice.KIIS-FM's "On Air with Ryan Seacrest" debuted the song "Dramatic," which features a breathy, nasally Britney switching off verses with her cheap imitator Heidi. According to Perez Hilton though, Britney didn't really sing on the track -- rather Heidi's people found an old demo recording of Britney's that never made it onto any of her albums.Grab a barf bag listen.

Miz Spears was seen with beautiful manicured hands on Monday.
The recovering pop star spent the morning with her boo boos, Tater Tot and Small Fry.
And in the afternoon, Brit Brit was accompanied by her poppa and savior, Jamie, to a medical facility.
It's SO nice to see that now Spears is not nervously biting her nails anymore.
It's EVEN NICER to see that Britney is keeping up with her medical treatment.

The Truth Behind Their "Duet"

You may have heard about Heidi Montag's duet with Britney Spears.
Well, all is not always as it seems, especially when the "reality" stars of The Hills are involved!
Yes, both stars appear on a new track, but Britney did not authorize the song's release and she had no idea about it until Montag leaked it, sources tell us.
"Heidi and Spencer got their hands on an old demo recording of Britney's that never made it onto any of her albums," an insider reveals exclusively to PerezHilton.com. "They've been working with a lot of producers on Heidi's new album and one of them gave them the track. They decided to turn it into a duet instead of having Heidi re-record the song with just her vocals because they knew they'd get more press this way."

We're not sure how reliable this is, but…
The British media is reporting that Britney has finally dumped her paparazzo butt boy Adnan.
What happened????
Well, it seems like Miz Spears discovered some racy text messages on Ghalib's phone….that weren't sent from her!
"There were about a dozen (texts) from one girl, all sent in one day. They were pretty saucy stuff with sexual references - certainly not the sort you'd send to a friend," says a source.
The pair ended up getting into a big fight over it during one of Adnan's visits last week.
"Britney lost it and started yelling," says the insider. "She was demanding to know who sent the texts and shouting, 'What's this about? You're cheating on me.' Adnan said she was just a friend but Britney got more and more angry. Then she told him, 'That's it. It's over.'"
We just don't know what to believe.
And even if this story is true, these two have broken up and gotten back together before!

Britney Visiting Medical Center!

Britney, accompanied by daddy, is currently paying a visit to a doctor at a Beverly Hills medical center. She was escorted into the office by a nurse in scrubs (WTF?)
Clad in her red boots and carrying a new red digital camera, Brit appeared to be bursting out of her button-up top!
How does she look to you? Rumors are running rampant about the pop singer's burgeoning waistline -- you'd think with all the dancing at Millenium she'd be getting tinier!

Wearing a white, flowy dress, Britney walked Sean Preston and Jayden James out to Kevin's car before saying goodbye.

Heidi's Rep Denies Knowledge Of Leaked Duet With Britney Spears

In a perfect storm of pop music, Britney Spears and Heidi Montag appear on the same song, titled "Dramatic," and the song is already creating its own drama.
Questions have arisen about whether Britney authorized the use of her vocals on the track. The "Blackout" pop star was reportedly unaware the song even existed until the single made its debut on Ryan Seacrest's "On Air" morning radio show on KIIS-FM, according to online reports.
A rep for Heidi tells Access Hollywood, "Heidi has no knowledge of this recording. She did do a demo of this song for possible use on her record, but that recording had a male vocal on it, not Britney Spears."
The questionable collaboration spawned lyrics such as, "You used me / Tried to abuse me / Fame, this life of fantasy / Now back to reality."
**A source at Spears' label, Jive, tells Usmagazine.com, "It’s not authorized and it wasn’t set up in any way and they never spent any time together in the studio. This was never a planned song or duet in any way."

Brit's Back Behind the Wheel

It feels as like it's been years since Britney Spears was a constant fixture on the roads of Los Angeles, tooling around aimlessly for hours between Malibu, Beverly Hills and every luxury hotel, Starbucks and fast-food joint in-between. But it looks like the salad days are over for the L.A. traffic police, as the singer appears to gradually be getting her driving privileges back.

On Saturday night, Brit was back behind the steering wheel for her first solo drive in weeks. Hoever it should be noted that the pop superstar wasn't completely alone, as a security detail maintained a close eye on her in a separate vehicle the entire time. This came two days after her father Jamie Spears had allowed Britney to drive the car while he sat (possibly with clenched fists) in the passenger seat.

Until this past weekend, Brit had not driven a car since Feb. 6, the day she was released from UCLA Medical Center and immediately hooked up with boyfriend Adnan Ghalib to lead a phalanx of paparrazzi around Los Angeles before dead-ending at the Beverly Hills Hotel, where her father called an end to the freewheeling festivities.

This drive also reunited Britney with the Mercedes-Benz she abandoned with a flat tire in the middle of a busy Los Angeles street in early January.
