Britney Spears Reunites With Former Manager Larry Rudolph

LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
Fresh off her successful appearance on CBS's "How I Met Your Mother," there is yet another sign Britney Spears could be returning to top of her game. The pop star has reunited with her former manager, Larry Rudolph.
"It's true," a source close to Britney told E! News. "They are working together."
Britney and Larry had a rollercoaster of a professional relationship that ended with Britney publicly blaming him for pressuring her to enter rehab, according E!.
Larry is credited with taking Britney from just a small-town former-Disney actor and turning her into the world famous pop star that she is.
The duo, who worked together for almost nine years, parted ways around the time Britney married now ex-husband, Kevin Federline.
Jamie Spears, Britney father and co-conservator, has been an outspoken supporter of Larry, according to E!. It is not known if Jamie was involved in the reunion of Britney and her former manager.
Tune into Access Hollywood Wednesday for a sit-down with Larry Rudolph, where he talks about Britney and his new MTV reality show "Rock The Cradle."

Britney's Slim-Down Secrets

It seems miracles really can happen. As the world watched Britney Spears' debut last week on How I Met Your Mother, it was obvious that the former pop star was looking good, dare we say it, even back to her old self!
"It looked like Britney had lost 15 pounds in four weeks," a source close to the singer tells OK!. And sure enough — gone was the bloat, the ratty hair and the puffy face. In their place, a slimmer, fresh-faced girl with a smile on her face and determination in her step.
So how did she do it? "Britney's a pro at losing weight fast," a Spears pal tells OK!. "She can drop seven to 10 pounds in two weeks." Although now, in Britney's case, it's about adopting a longterm plan she can stick to. Sources say Brit has given up her old unhealthy weight loss habits, like popping laxatives and diet pills.
The 5-foot-4 singer has also replaced soda and fast food with five, small protein-packed meals a day. Doing so has enabled her to peel off the pounds. "Eating five meals a day will boost your metabolism," Dr. David Katzin of Fresh Diet, a meal delivery program tells OK!. "In fact, by eating superclean, Zone balanced foods at each of your five meals, you will find that your metabolism goes into overdrive, becoming extremely efficient at burning calories."
And get this — Brit's even cut back on her Starbucks Frappachino fixes! "Britney used to come in every day. Now she just comes in from time to time and orders a lighter version," a barista at a Malibu Starbucks tells OK!.
To complement her healthier eating habits, Britney works out regularly as well, although you probably won't see her jogging around her neighborhood. The recovering pop star enjoys daily dance workouts at L.A.'s Millennium Dance Complex, where sources tell OK! she does squats along with chair and pole dancing. When she does run, it's on a treadmill at home, away from the spying eyes of the paparazzi.
"I don't like to work out because my legs get bulky," Brit has said. "Dancing makes me leaner."Whatever it is she likes to do, it definitely seems to be working. Britney Spears to Make Cameo Appearance in 'High School Musical 3'?

After her appearance in television series "How I Met Your Mother" boosted up the ratings of the series, it has been rumored that troubled pop singer Britney Spears will be tapped to join the Wildcats cast in the third installment of the successful Disney's film series "High School Musical 3: Senior Year". Entertainment Wise reported that the "...Baby One More Time" hitmaker is going to appear in the franchise due to director Kenny Ortega's wish. The site claimed that the film series' helmer desperately wants the former pop princess to make a cameo appearance in the film. "Britney is a modern day icon and having her in HSM would be incredible," Ortega allegedly explained. "If Ms. Darbus had a star pupil like her in the drama class, Sharpay would have some stiff competition." Further, it was said that her appearance will be backed up with a parody on her infamous gym hall dance routine from her hit debut single "Baby One More Time". Britney, Larry Back in Business

Britney Spears is relying on an old friend to give her a new lease on her professional life.

The pop star is bringing erstwhile manager Larry Rudolph back into her inner circle.

The duo, whose relationship has undergone well-chronicled ups and downs, most recently with the pair parting ways after Spears publicly blamed him for forcing her into rehab, is apparently back in business.

"It's true," a source close to the pop star told E! News. "They are working together."

It's unclear when Rudolph reentered the picture, but Spears' career has already been on the upswing, particularly in the wake of her fairly well-received, ratings-grabbing guest-starring turn on How I Met Your Mother last week.

Rudolph is the eagle-eyed manager credited with discovering Spears and crafting her career from small-town Louisiana ingenue to mouse-ear-wearing Disney star to international pop icon. They were together for roughly nine years, ultimately splitting around the time Spears wed Kevin Federline.

Just one day after her 2006 split from K-Fed, however, Rudolph was back on her arm. Their second professional go-round was much less lengthy—and successful—than their first, ultimately disintegrating in early 2007 after Spears let loose a series of caustic on-camera rants about Rudolph being the reason she was tricked into entering rehab and for turning her family against her.

Jamie Spears, however, has always been a public Rudolph supporter. While Papa Spears is currently holding (very tightly) the reins of his daughter's life, it's unclear whether he had any part in reforging the partnership.

Regardless, Rudolph's resumes his position after succeeding who might be Spears' most infamous manager to date, former pal Sam Lutfi.

Britney Spears wants to go back to the days of the golden oldies.Sources tells us Brit has buried the hatchet and wants to re-hire former manager, Larry Rudolph, the guy was the mastermind behind her blazing career. Brit wanted to tar and feather Rudolph before she 86'd him last year, blaming him in part for what she felt was a bogus stint at the Promises rehab joint.We're told nothing has been finalized, but Brit now wants him back. She can't hire and fire herself, but we're told the conservators probably will do what Brit wants, partly because they realize the conservatorship won't last forever and when it's over they don't want Brit to undo all the decisions.Actually, it's a good idea. Britney Spears is back in the studio working on another album - but if her conservator/dad, Jamie, has his way, she'll stop the music and concentrate on her TV career. A Spears insider said, "Britney did a great job on 'How I Met Your Mother.' She got the show its highest ratings yet, but more importantly for Jamie, he wants his daughter at a normal 9-to-5 job to keep her working and out of trouble. A sitcom would do that. So he's exploring several offers for Britney to have her own show." Spears has also been offered a guest-starring stint on "30 Rock."

George Clooney: “I did try to adopt Britney Spears”

Britney Spears keen to get both mind and body healthy again

After two months of supervision for her mental health issues, Britney Spears is reportedly keen to improve her body’s physical health too.The star has been spotted visiting multiple dental clinics this week and according to the Mirror, is working on the other end of her digestive system too and has started having regular colon cleansing sessions at the clinic in Beverly Hills.A source at the clinic told the newspaper: “Cleansing a few times a week gets rid of lingering stuff in the colon. Britney’s had the treatment before and says it makes her feel great, more upbeat and energetic.”

While not exactly MIA, Britney Spears certainly isn't quite as...visible (and we don't just mean in the vaginal sense) as she used to be premeltdown, prehospitalization and, as it turns out, preconservatorship.
Not only is the popster spending time with her kids again, but she's also working, eating in restaurants that don't offer a drive-thru option and—we thought it seemed quiet—hasn't been the cause of a traffic stop, police motorcade or late-night field trip to a gas-station food mart in some time.
E! News has pieced together Britney's return to planet Earth transformation and discovered a common denominator among all this antimadness: dear old dad.
Sources say it's Jamie Spears' tough love that has put her back on track. Naysayers can hoot 'n' holler all they want about whether Britney really needs someone to make decisions for her or whether Jamie's just in it for the $2,500 weekly allowance, but riddle us this:
In which of these cases is Britney worse off than she was before she locked herself in the bathroom and ended up in an ambulance (twice)?
• The Odd Couple: Britney's got a roommate now that Jamie's moved in to keep the demons out. "Jamie feels like this is his last chance to save his daughter," a family insider tells E! News. Madonna Talks Britney, Guy, Candy

Forget the dance floor, these days Madonna's doing all her confessing on the radio.
In an exclusive interview with the Yo on E! satellite radio show, the newly minted Rock and Roll Hall of Famer holds forth on her former spit-swapping buddy Britney Spears, her upcoming album and the relentless rumors that her marriage is in peril. (Listen to the interview.)
About her pop protégé, Madonna says that Spears remains the artist of choice for 11-year-old daughter Lourdes (Rocco, meanwhile, prefers the dulcet tones of Chris Brown and Usher) and said that, like her discerning daughter, she remains a supporter of the beleaguered star.
"They need to step off," Madonna said of the tabloid and paparazzi focus on Spears. "For real...Let's go save her."
Madonna says Lourdes, who met Spears "back in the day," is equally concerned, albeit in an age-appropriate way.
"She knows Britney, but doesn't catch all that gossip stuff. So I think she sorta gets the drift of what's going on, and I think she's kind of protective of Britney."
As for Madonna's own home life, she cautions that headlines can be deceiving.
"We still have to take turns," the chart topper said of hubby Guy Ritchie with regard to marital compromise. "It's not easy."
It's also, however, not as the tabloids portray.
"You know how people are. It is ridiculous," she says of the recent slate of state-of-her-union reports. "I don't pay much attention to it."
What she does pay attention to is keeping her now slightly larger family unit tight.
Of the Ritchie family's latest addition, Malawi-born son David, Madonna calls his presence nothing short of "amazing."
"He's the life of the party. He loves music, he's an amazing dancer, he's just a character."
As for whether raising an adopted child is any different from her genetic children, she says she was surprised in that she "thought it would be, but it feels the same, to tell you the truth."
The superstar singer, currently gearing up to summer in the U.S., a country she says she misses despite loving living in the U.K., also talked shop, particularly about her upcoming album, Hard Candy.
"It is sexy," she said. "I think it's got some hard set beats, but there's some sweetness on top. I like the juxtaposition."
She also hazarded a guess as to why some of her more recent albums seemed to connect more with her overseas fan base than her U.S. one, chalking it up to the records' British producers and the fact that "the vibe was more European."
"Now my copilots are American and it has more of an American feel."
The patriotism-approved Hard Candy is due out April 29.

Casey Aldridge, 18, the baby's father, is listed as her "co-registrant" and the "event date" listed is July 10. Spears added the message: "Thank you for supporting us during this special time." Does this sound wacky enough to be true? According the Chicago Sun-Times, divorced and court-battlin' exes Britney Spears and Kevin Federline might be trying to recapture the magic that was "Chaotic" -- by teaming for a new variety show?! Yeah, too good to be true. K-Fed's peeps just denied the whole thing.
The Sun-Times said the project would have been a primetime musical-comedy show. Adding to the allure, K-Fed was to be the choreographer, which have brought their lives full circle; Brit met the wannabe rapper when he worked as abackup dancers.
The recovering pop mom will likely venture to the tube again, just not with Kev. She began her career as a Mouseketeer on "The Mickey Mouse Club," and her recent stint on "How I Met Your Mother" was the highest-rated episode the CBS sitcom has ever had.

Bugaboo stroller? Check. Educational toys by Leap Frog and Baby Einstein? Yup. Cookie Monster towels? Got 'em. Although you can barely tell that Jamie Lynn Spears is pregnant, the baby is coming and it appears that the 16-year-old — and her rumored fiancé Casey Aldridge — have registered in preparation for baby. But is it really the parents' wish list — or just another Internet hoax? While the Babies 'R Us registry seems like it could be the real deal (the basic info seems legit — hometown is Kentwood, La., due date is July 10), none of the big-ticket items have been purchased from the list — only three small things, including two items that retail for $1.99 each. And if it is their registry, they could have spellchecked their "special message" that reads: "THANK YOU FOR SUPPRTING [sic] US DURING THIS SPECIAL TIME."
In recent years, registries under celebrity names have turned out be a mixed bag. Back when Tori Spelling got married for the first ime, her Tiffany & Co. registry was online and anyone in the world could log in and view her wish list, which included a $2,800 menorah. (No word on whether or not she returned it after she got divorced!) And just last year, Eva Longoria and Tony Parker, also registered at Tiffany's, requested a sterling silver scalloped bowl at a whopping $1,500! On the other hand, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have had several wedding registries that turned out to be fake. There were also several fake ones created when Jamie Lynn's big sister, Britney Spears, was pregnant. When reached for comment about the authenticity of the registry, a Babies 'R Us spokesperson told Star they have a policy of not commenting on their clients.

Lutfi's publicist insists he is "a good guy"

Sam Lutfi's publicist has claimed that his client is a "good guy" who has been unfairly cast as a villain in the ongoing Britney Spears saga.Lutfi, Britney's former manager, was told that he must stay away from the singer after her parents applied for a restraining order in February. The ban was renewed for a further 30 days earlier this week.Sam has now filed an official objection to the California Superior Court commissioner who is overseeing Britney's case. He is expected to appear in court on April 16 to appeal for a new judge. His publicist Michael Sands told the Daily Record: "Sam did an outstanding job and participated in Britney's intervention on January 31. LAPD mental health experts were there that night and they thought he did a star job helping in the intervention."Sam is really a good guy and the public perception is not appropriate. That is the bottom line."

In recent radio interviews, Madonna opened up about her thoughts of Britney Spears and the paparazzi. On New York’s Z100-FM, The Rock and Roll Hall of Famer confessed, “I actually love Britney Spears’ new album. I usually work out to her record. I do a combination of Pilates and dance aerobics.” In an appearance on the Yo on E! satellite radio show, she also revealed that the pop-star is her eleven-year-old daughter’s favorite artist, and condemned the paparazzi for their constant focus on Spears’ downward spiral. “They need to step off. For real ... Let’s go save her,” adding that her daughter is equally concerned. “She knows Britney, but doesn't catch all that gossip stuff, [but] I think she sorta gets the drift of what's going on, and I think she's kind of protective of Britney.”

Madonna: I Work Out to Britney Spears' Album

Madonna has a surprising choice when it comes to what she listens to while exercising.
"I actually love Britney Spears's new album," she told New York's Z100-FM Thursday. "I usually work out to her record. I do a combination of pilates and dance aerobics."
The singer also explained why she gave Justin Timberlake a shot of B-12 while they were collaborating on her new album, Hard Candy.
"The reason I gave him a B-12 [shot] is because we only had a certain amount of days in the studio and I didn't want him to use that as a lame-a-- excuse not to come to work," she said. "Okay? It's got nothing to do with butt. I promise you. Listen, I don't need to give him a shot to see his butt. Duh."
Madonna – who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame earlier this month for her 25-year career span – admitted she's sick of some of her earlier music.
"I'm not sure I can sing 'Holiday' or 'Like A Virgin' ever again," she said. "I just can't – unless somebody paid me like $30 million or something. [Maybe if] some Russian guy wants me to come to the wedding he's going to have to a 17-year-old, you know it."

Britney Spears could be heading to the UK after being offered an acting job on the West End stage.
The Star reports that the troubled popstar has been offered the lead role in a London production of A Streetcar Named Desire.
This week her cameo appearance in sitcom How I Met Your Mother aired and doubled the shows’ ratings. Britney even received good reviews from US critics.
A theatre source told the newspaper they want her for the character of Blanche DuBois whose character parallel’s Spears’ own problems.

So, this morning I read on Hollywood.tv that execs are considering giving Brit her own sitcom. Let’s be real here. It was good, it was better than we all expected, it was sweet but it wasn’t that funny.People tuned in for the same reasons people always tune in for Britney. They want to be shocked or catch something bizarre.It’s sad but true. You have a handful of real die hard fans who love her no matter what, probably a million people. Then you have another million or so who love the daily soap opera of Britney-Gate and who watch because they’re expecting full blown tragedy like the VMA’s.NO ONE is funny enough to earn a sitcom after 4 minutes of lines. Again, people trying to earn money off her really quick before the jig is up. Sitcom execs would spit her out the second people stopped tuning in.I say, let her continue to earn her way back into success. Handing her shit just because we were all shocked that she didn’t throw poop against the wall and drool on herself is not going to help her.She needs structure and reward and you will see her slowly comeback. This poor girl has never been told no and her reality is not healthy.I want nothing more than to see Brit succeed but with determination, hard work, and real commitment. Showing up to say 4 minutes of lines is not enough to determine that she has earned a show. I mean, how sad is that, that we are all going YAY!!! because she could function. Come on! Lets hope Britney gets well for good and for life!

A top photo agency told Rush & Molly that "there were less than a half dozen [paparazzi] covering Britney" this weekend, but "there were 30 in the pack covering Miley Cyrus."Not even the big news of Brit appearing on the TV show How I Met Your Mother was good enough to bring more photographers out. Even though we can only pray that Miley Cyrus will self-destruct in 3 or 4 years, it is a long shot.It is a sad state for the pop culture world when Miley Cyrus is the most interesting thing we have going on right now. OK! has learned that earlier today, Jamie Lynn Spears, the pregnant 16-year-old Zoey 101 star and little sister of pop superstar Britney Spears, made the trip from her home in Kentwood, Louisiana, to pay a visit to a Babies 'r' Us store in Baton Rouge. The reason? To put together her registry for her upcoming baby shower!Wearing a huge ring — on her left hand — and sporting a shirt that says "The Rumors Are True," Jamie Lynn, who is reported to be engaged to her 18-year-old boyfriend Casey Aldridge, and a female friend made the nearly 80-mile trek in an SUV to the baby supply mecca, where eyewitnesses spotted the pair putting together the list of items to be registered as potential gifts for the yet-unnamed child, who is expected to be born in the early part of the summer.In December, Jamie Lynn famously revealed her shocking pregnancy in an exclusive interview with OK!.
