Britney Spears' mother Lynne may want the paps to cool it around her daughter - but she might need to try another approach!First, we caught up with Brit as her assistant returned from Starbucks run before heading over to the gym. (Hey, gotta get some energy before you hit the treadmill, right?) We noticed Brit was wearing a white shirt with a pair of hot pink pants; we thought she looked cute as a button - but apparently, Britney thought otherwise, because her next stop was Niketown!Inside, Brit met up with Lynne and picked out some new workout threads - specifically a blue top and some black pants. Lynne picked up a few bottles of water while she was there, too - we know because Lynne came out trying to squirt 'em on the paps!The only problem? Lynne's aim was a little off - and she only managed to soak Britney!Britney naturally shrieked in protest at being splashed and hustled back into the car. Luckily, Britney and Lynne had made up by the time they got to Ballys - in fact, they ended up working out together! Brit's Lawyers Say "Pay Up!"

Britney Spears' conservators were back in court again on Thursday afternoon, where they discussed among other things, the subject of payment.Commissioner Goetz agreed to advance Andrew Wallet, Sam Ingham, and attorneys for the conservators exactly half the money they are expected to bill for. Ingham, Brit's court appointed attorney will be getting $10,000 a week through July 31. Co-conservator Wallet gets $100,000 and the Luce Forward law firm will get $175,000--and that's just for work done through March 31.Clark Byam, another attorney, will get $22,500. Stacy Phillips, the lawyer repping Brit in the family law case, will get $75,000--also for work through March 31.Meanwhile, Comm. Goetz once again struck down a March 17 filing by Jon Eardley to present, 'on record,' the declaration of retired UCLA Law professor William McGovern. Eardley still claims he is working for Britney and that the current conservatorship is violating her civil rights.

Life has changed much for Britney Spears who, from routinely flashing her crotch sans panties during late night forays to night clubs, has now resorted to hiding behind blankets, as she did Thursday, April 17, when she visited a salon in West Hollywood, Ca. The change in her lifestyle is for the good. Ironically, even a change for the good can cost a packet these days. LA Superior Court Commissioner Reva Goetz, who is overseeing Britney's conservatorship, ruled Thursday that she needs to pay nearly $400,000 to the numerous lawyers that have been minding her affairs. While $400,000 may not be an unnerving expense for the pop star, whose assets are estimated at around $100 million, the fact that it covers just three months of her conservatorship is probably not lost on Britney, who continues to pull her life together. On Wednesday evening, April 16, Britney was seen visiting a recording studio, for the third day in a row, suggesting that a professional comeback is on the cards. She has also been working out regularly. More gratifying than her visits to the studio and gym is the quite time she has been spending at home, some of it with her toddlers.

A Los Angeles court on Thursday ordered payment of nearly $400,000 to the numerous lawyers involved in Britney Spears's affairs – with the pop star footing the bill. All the attorneys have been working on the case for less than three months. Samuel Ingham, Spears's court-appointed attorney, will continue to receive $10,000 a week, Commissioner Reva Goetz ruled.Andrew Wallet, the co-conservator of Spears's finances, will receive an advance of $100,000. (Wallet had not been paid since becoming involved last February.). The firm which won Jamie Spears control of his daughter's affairs will also be advanced $175,000, and a lawyer representing Britney's brother Bryan Spears will get $22,500, while Stacy Phillips, Britney's new divorce lawyer, will receive $75,000. Ex-Manager: Britney Spears Returns to Recording Studio

Britney Spears returned to the recording studio this week with former manager Larry Rudolph.
"We went into the studio, but it was just for fun – nothing more," Rudolph tells Usmagazine.com of their visits to a studio in Burbank, CA Monday and Tuesday.
Spears, 26, has not been in a recording studio for the past year, a source tells Us.
"She just wanted to go in and tinker around," the source says. "She sat at a piano and got some ideas. She played the piano and sang a bit. She enjoyed herself."
Spears played old and new tunes, the source says, adding, "she wanted to go in as a way to get her creativity going. It was a really positive experience for her."
Spears and Rudolph, who produces MTV's Rock the Cradle, "are not at the stage where they are talking business yet," nor is this studio visit the start of a new project, the source says.
Earlier this month, Rudolph – who is credited for discovering Spears and managing her career for 9 years – told Us that she is on the "right path."

Still No Sam Lutfi!

When Britney Spears’ former (and perhaps current) manager Larry Rudolph said that she was poised for a comeback, he wasn’t kidding.

The “Piece of Me” songstress was spotted toning her body at a private training session at Los Angeles health club Bally’s Total Fitness.
And afterwards, Miss Spears (for the third day in a row) headed over to Glenwood Place Recording Studio, accompanied by Rudolph.

It seems that without Sam Lutfi around, Brit has been more apt to get back on her feet and get her life together. And yesterday, a Los Angeles judge extended the restraining order against Lutfi until July 31st.

With Sam out of the picture, and Britney’s father and lawyer in control of her affairs, we just may see an amazing comeback sooner than later.

Brit May Club for a Living

Sources tell TMZ Britney Spears is in negotiation with Bally Total Fitness to be a frontwoman for the company -- and backwoman, too!

Here's what we know. Brit's parents have both been talking to Bally about making a deal. Daddy Jamie has the power as co-conservator to make it happen. It all happened because Larry Rudolph, who is coming back to manage the Britster, has a close friendship with John Wildman, the Chief Marketing Officer of Bally.

During the negotiations, Brit has been going to the club at least once a day and up to as many as three times a day. She's training with two of the company's top personal trainers -- we're guessing one for the front and one for the back. She's also working with the company's nutritionist, who has put Britney on five to six quality meals a day. No Taco Bell, no Fanta ... life can really suck.

As of now, there is no deal -- just negotiations. We're told she isn't getting any money yet, but she's working out for free. As a company insider put it to us, "We're more interested in Britney Spears' health than her $19.

Britney Spears's former confidante, Sam Lutfi, has agreed to stay away from the pop star through July 31, it was revealed at a Los Angeles court Wednesday. A restraining order was slapped on Lutfi in February, after Spears's mother accused him of drugging Britney, 26. Keep-away orders can be extended to up to five years, legal experts say. Meanwhile, the singer's father and a lawyer remain in legal control over her affairs. Britney Spears has apparently decided her body wasn't the only thing in need of a little fine-tuning. E! News has confirmed that the "Gimme More" singer is taking voice lessons and has spent the last two days in a Burbank, Calif., recording studio to work on getting her voice back into fighting shape. Spears, whose 2008 didn't exactly get off on the right foot, careerwise, is not working on anything official, a source close to the 26-year-old comeback kid told E! News, but instead is just looking to enjoy herself right now. "She's doing it just for fun," the source said. "She's just sitting at the piano, singing a little. She's just in there to have some fun. Britney Court Update!

Britney Spears' former manager and friend Sam Lutfi just told X17 that he will not be appearing in court today for a hearing regarding the temporary restraining order filed against him by Spears' parents.
The restraining order will be voluntarily extended, and Lutfi will not be challenging it. Lutfi's spokesperson Michael Sands said, "Sam and the family are communicating and cooperating, trying to do what's best for Britney...to the best of my knowledge the case has been continued."
Britney Spears' legal team is scheduled to appear in court at 1:30PM PST today for the hearing. Jamie and Lynne Spears originally filed the temporary restraining order against Lutfi on their daughter's behalf on February 1, 2008. When the restraining order was filed, Lynne Spears swore in a written declaration that Lutfi was drugging her daughter, among other allegations.

Finally, after he was properly served, Lutfi agreed on March 17 to have the restraining order against him extended until Wednesday's hearing."He respects Britney, he respects the temporary restraining order, and everyone is beating him up for no reason," Lutfi's publicist said after the hearing. "Enough is enough."Meanwhile, attorneys for the conservatorship overseeing Britney's estate signaled there might be a détente. "Mr. Lutfi and Mr. Spears are in discussion that may resolve the issues presented in the TRO application," they wrote in a court filing last month.While Lutfi has filed a motion stating he objected to having Superior Court Commissioner Reva Goetz presiding over his restraining order hearing instead of full-fledged judge, he has done little to argue against the allegations raised in the restraining order in court.And with Lutfi not planning on attending Wednesday's hearing, it appears again that once again these charges will go unanswered—and his chances to reconnect with Britney anytime soon slim.

Or Sam Lutfi is, at least!
Brit's parents filed a temporary restraining order against Sam on February 1st of this year - this came after mom Lynne claimed Lutfi was drugging her daughter.
Sam's spokesman Michael Sands said these allegations were "untrue and have not been proven." Guess we'll see what happens tomorrow, April 16th, because that's when the follow-up hearing is scheduled!
And that's not all - there will be a planned review of Trust issues for the Spears fam on Thursday, the day after. Father Jamie's temporary conservatorship expires on July 31st, 2008... think talk of a permanent conservatorship will come up again?
