UCLA Workers Fired for Peeking at Brit's Records
UCLA medical Center, which recently treated Britney Spears as a patient in its psych ward, has taken steps to fire at least 13 employees on Friday for allegedly snooping in her medical files.The L.A. Times is reporting that at least six others have been suspended and an additional six doctors are facing dicipline for looking at her computerized records.
Sources say all of the employees are being blamed for snooping in files that relate to Britney's past hospital stays, and not her most recent hospitalization on Jan.31.Officials admitted that this is not the first time UCLA had diciplined workers for looking at Brit's files either. Several employees were caught snooping after the pop singer gave birth to her first son, Sean Preston, in 2005 at Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center."It's not only surprising, it's very frustrating and it's very disappointing," said Jeri Simpson, the Santa Monica hospital's director of human resources. "I feel like we do everything that we possibly can to ensure the privacy of our patients and I know we feel horrible that it happened again."UCLA officials said they sent a memo the morning Britney was hospitalized on Jan. 31, warning employees that they were not allowed to look at records unless directly caring for a patient.

Britney's Car Pulled Over
Britney went to the Beverly Center this afternoon for a little shopping at Forever 21 but after a nice outing with her bodyguard and the paps, Queen B got in a little bit 'a trouble!
Well, not Britney, really, but her bodyguard. He decided to burn a red light and pull some funky turns on the way home and the cops weren't havin' it! Brit's Escalade got pulled over though we don't believe a citation was issued.

Report: UCLA Firing Hospital Workers for Snooping on Britney
UCLA Medical Center will be firing at least 13 employees and is disciplining others, including physicians, for looking at Britney Spears's medical files, the Los Angeles Times reports. Spears, 26, was involuntary hospitalized at the campus's psych ward for one week beginning Jan. 31, after her doctor made the request. But the records reviewed by those who are targeted for dismissal were from previous hospitalizations at UCLA, the Times reports. The dates and purposes of those hospitalizations weren't known. UCLA officials declined to comment on the reported firings, but said in a statement: "UCLA Health System considers patient confidentiality a critical part of our mission of teaching, research and patient care. ... We have stringent policies to protect patient confidentiality and address violations of those policies."

Brit’s Hospital Records Viewed
This is insane news (no pun intended). The L.A. Times is reporting that the UCLA Medical Center will be firing some staffers who apparently took a look at Britney’s private hospital records. Such an act is illegal even if you’re not famous, so this is not something special they’re doing for Brit. Patient’s confidentiality, people! Patient’s confidentiality. UCLA Med Center will be letting go 13 employees, and six are already suspended. Here’s another troubling fact - at least six physicians have also been reprimanded for taking a peek. Goodness! Brit was last hospitalized on January 31.

Wouldn’t it be funny if we all tuned in to How I Met Your Mother to watch Britney’s guest starring role and she only had two lines? Okay, probably not. Brit’s gotten a lot of press lately regarding her guest role on the CBS show and I know some folks are wondering what the big deal is. Besides the fact that she’s doing much better lately, the show’s a nice stepping stone for her comeback. Yeah, I’m starting to hate the word comeback, too. Brit’s been getting rave reviews from the show’s cast and crew, too. Neil Patrick Harris told Pagesix.com that she is very good and very professional. It’s funny how folks always say that because Brit would never have gone as far as she did (or make as much money as she has) if she didn’t know how to be professional, right? She’s been in showbiz since she was a teen, after all. Anyway, more Brit updates as they come. Stay tuned.

But that doesn’t mean the diva is completely gone — the singer wore her sunglasses the whole time she was in the studio. That didn’t stop Neil Patrick Harris from raving about Britney’s read-through on Tuesday.
"She's good,” he says. “She seemed a little nervous, she wore the big sunglasses the whole time. I think that's a bit of a security blanket.”
He adds: “But she seems very professional."

Multiple sources tell PageSix.com that former Mr. Britney Spears is being paid at least six figures to host his 30th birthday party at the Las Vegas hotspot on March 21. (Check out the invite, above!) One insider says he will make about $175,000.
“Kevin is a big spender, and a draw for the crowds. So the money he gets is nothing compared to the money they make,” the source tells PageSix.com.
The big payday is particularly interesting considering that earlier this week, Britney’s lawyer argued that the pop star shouldn’t have to pay for Kevin’s legal fees because he has more money than he claims.
The family insider tells us that Kevin is planning on spending a few days in Las Vegas, which might give his ex-wife a chance to spend some quality time with their kids.
“Kevin is hoping Britney will be able to have time with the boys for a few days while he is gone, but it all depends on how she is doing at the time,” says the insider. “Also, Kevin has to feel confident that Jamie [Spears] will make sure the boys are watched over at all times while she is with them.”

Britney Spears Wraps Up Work on TV Show
Britney Spears completed two days of filming on TV's How I Met Your Mother, receiving praise from the sitcom's cast for her attitude and comic skills. "There was not an ounce of the dark side that we've all read so much about," star Neil Patrick Harris, 34, said Thursday night at a West Hollywood party for the show. In the episode, which will air March 24, Spears plays a receptionist at a dermatologist's office, and she falls for one of the show's main characters, played by Josh Radnor. Spears, 26, shot her scenes Wednesday and Thursday. "She was hilarious in the table-read, and I got to see her do the run-through as well, and she was great," cast member Jason Segel said at the Jameson Irish Whiskey St. Patrick's Day party. "She was great and lovely and couldn't be sweeter." Added cast member Alyson Hannigan: "You can still kill a joke if you don't have comic timing, and she's not killing them. "She’s just a person — so sweet and funny," Hannigan added. "We just talked about our clothes and dogs, and it was surprisingly just normal."
The rest of the cast couldn't stop raving about the actress — who shot scenes Wednesday and Thursday in L.A. — either.
"She’s beautiful," actor Jason Segel told Us. "You know, I was so focused on her hair that I’m overwhelmed with adjectives! She was great and lovely."
He said he wasn't surprised that Spears nailed her role as a dorky receptionist who falls for Ted (Josh Radnor).
"She was great," Segel added. "She was better than all five of us, so I guess that says a lot."
Added Cobie Smulders, "She was very professional and her comedic timing was great!"
The cast shrugged off rumors that Alicia Silverstone turned down a role on the show after learning that Spears was on board.
"I think there was some scheduling problems or something," Smulders said, adding that Scrubs star Sarah Chalke "came in at the last second."
Neil Patrick Harris said "there’s hope" Silverstone may still appear on the show at some point.
"She’s seemed to avoid that weird actress trap of only being able to do a very limited amount of things," he told Us. "She’s gone on to do interesting theater, so you’ve got to respect her chops now.
"She’s making smart choices so if she wants to come play with us, we’d be glad to have her!"

"The writers were joking that Segel should just run up to Britney and try to make out with her," laughs How I Met Your Mother show runner Craig Thomas. "He has a movie coming out [Forgetting Sarah Marshall] and it could be, like, a $10-15 million bump in the opening weekend. Even if she’s like 'Get off me! What the f--k are you doing?!' "

The Boys Are Back - Again!
Due to How I Met Your Mother's early call time, Britney Spears wasn't able to see her boys when her mother Lynn brought them by for a visit yesterday morning.
That's OK - there's always tomorrow!
Sean and Jayden were p from Kevin's this morning for another 9 AM visit with their mother. As usual, everyone stayed inside until noon, when Britney's time with the boys ran out and they had to go home to daddy. In a four-month period, almost $1 million in fees were incurred. Kevin Federline's attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, is seeking around $500,000 and wants Brit to pay the bill, and Britney's former lawyers Trope and Trope are seeking close to $600,000.
The report also said that Mark Vincent Kaplan's deposition transcripts were ordered sealed.

Pregnancy can do funny things to a young woman - but can it turn her into a thief?
Yesterday, our paps were down in Louisiana checking in with Jamie Lynn Spears as she went about her daily routine. Everything seemed to be going fine until Jamie Lynn decided that she'd had enough attention - and grabbed the keys to our guys' car right out of the ignition!
Luckily for our guys, the pregnant starlet returned a few minutes later with a smile and an assurance that it was all a big joke. Hey, we can take a joke - especially when it runs in the family!

Yesterday, our paps were down in Louisiana checking in with Jamie Lynn Spears as she went about her daily routine. Everything seemed to be going fine until Jamie Lynn decided that she'd had enough attention - and grabbed the keys to our guys' car right out of the ignition!
Luckily for our guys, the pregnant starlet returned a few minutes later with a smile and an assurance that it was all a big joke. Hey, we can take a joke - especially when it runs in the family!
(We're pretty sure she was kidding when she started talking about making her whole pregnancy up, too - now that would be one for Pop Fiction!)

Britney Spears Speaks Out on TV Role:
Britney Spears is glad to be back on TV.
"Working at How I Met Your Mother has been so terrific," Spears said in a statement obtained by Entertainment Tonight.
The singer is scheduled to play Abby, a dorky receptionist, on the March 24 episode.
"Everyone, including the cast, the crew and the producers, has been wonderful and Abby is such a fun girl to play," Spears said. "I'm having a blast!"
She filmed scenes yesterday in L.A. Her mom Lynne was spotted visiting her trailer.
"Britney’s not playing a version of herself," Mother creator Craig Thomas tells Us. "I think that’s part of what appealed to her."
He said she agreed to the part just one day after reading the script.
It is Spears' first return to the small screen since a 2006 cameo on Will & Grace.

Britney Spears Having a 'Blast' On Sitcom
Britney Spears has already earned rave reviews from her How I Met Your Mother castmates. Now the pop star is sharing the love. "Working at How I Met Your Mother has been so terrific," Spears says. "Everyone, including the cast, the crew and the producers, has been wonderful and Abby is such a fun girl to play. I'm having a blast!" The singer, who arrived on set promptly at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday morning, is expected to continue shooting on Thursday afternoon following a visit with her sons. "The filming schedule was worked out so that she could still keep her visitation with her two boys," a source tells PEOPLE. "That was very important."Apart from her assistant, Brett, the singer was joined on set Wednesday by her father, Jamie, and mother, Lynne. "Her parents kept thanking everyone onset ... saying this is just what their daughter needed," the source says. Plus, Spears was quite prepared for her role. While castmember Josh Radnor joked that the singer "knew her lines better than I knew mine," a show source confirms that the singer was "very sweet and cute and she chewed gum obsessively on set."
