Britney Spears Family Friendly Party: Jamie Lynn Not Included
By all accounts, Britney Spears appears to have turned her life around and she has made quite the reversal from her hard partying wild nights she used to spend with Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan and now the one time pop star is making moves to get her life back in order. She is still throwing parties, but they are family friendly, though in an odd twist, pregnant little sister Jamie Lynn spears is not included.
Us Weekly magazine has a report published in the magazine this week that notes that the Britney impressed her guests at a bash for her big brother. On the afternoon of April 19, the pop star, 26, attended a birthday celebration for her brother, Bryan, 31, hosted by their parents, Jamie and Lynne, at Britney's Malibu, California, home. The report notes that mixed in with Bryan's 40 friends were Britney's former manager Larry Rudolph and current agent Jason Trawick. And again, her pregnant little sister, Jamie Lynn, 17, was not there.
"The atmosphere was fantastic," a source says of the casual backyard bash. "It was a crayfish party. Jamie was barbecuing and music was playing." For her part, Britney spent much of the party relaxing on an upstairs balcony, but "was happy and sociable," says a second source. Though another guest observed Britney seemed "out of it" (likely a side effect of adjusting to her bipolar disorder medication), the partygoer says she was "like the girl she used to be." As for reports she is reprising her role on the CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother, a close source says they are premature: "Nothing is signed yet.No script has been written, and until that is done, Britney will not be making a commitment."

It's been a trying few months for Lynne Spears with daughters Britney and Jamie Lynn Spears. First her youngest daughter, Jamie Lynn, went public with the shocking news of her pregnancy in December, when she was just 16, Life & Style will report this week. The story notes that then in in January, her oldest daughter, Britney Spears, 26, was hospitalized twice for mental illness — before being diagnosed with bipolar disorder, say insiders.
Since then, an exhausted-looking Lynne, 52, has been shuttling back and forth between her home in Kentwood, La. (near where Jamie Lynn is staying), and Los Angeles, where Britney lives, trying to care for both girls while keeping quiet about her family’s troubles.
But on April 20, Lynne finally broke her silence, giving an exclusive, emotional interview to Life & Style. And she didn’t hold back. When asked about Jamie Lynn, now 17, Lynne spoke frankly. “I’m a bit disappointed that my youngest daughter got pregnant at such an early age,” she tells Life & Style. “All I can do is turn to God for answers and just leave it in his hands.”But despite her frustration over the situation Jamie Lynn has gotten herself into, Lynne is trying to look on the bright side. “Jamie Lynn will be a wonderful mother,” she says. “She really has a way with children — she’s a natural nurturer. I just wish she had waited a bit.”
The magazine also notes in the article (on newsstands today) that when it comes to Britney — who ended her long estrangement from her mom after leaving the psych ward at UCLA Medical Center on Feb. 6 — Lynne offered love and support. She also said she believes the key to solving the troubled pop star’s problems lies in her spending more time with her sons, Sean, 2, and Jayden, 1.“I pray for Britney every day to be a better mother,” Lynne told Life & Style. “She’s gone through a lot of trauma, but she seems to be coming out of it — and it’s showing in her relationship with the boys. Following a trip to the bank with her dad, Brit (along with her bodyguards) made her way over to Bally Total Fitness for a fat-burning workout session with her personal trainer.
In addition, the “Gimme More” singer is said to be working with a Bally’s nutritionist to improve her eating. With all the Bally’s in her life, you gotta wonder if there’s an endorsement deal in the works.
Her new lifestyle is no doubt the result of having her family back in her life, as well as her former manager Larry Rudolph, who has urged her to prep for a comeback by getting in shape.

Troubled pop star Britney Spears may finally be on her way to getting back on her superstar track, from the looks of her new, cleaned-up image. After apparently hitting rock bottom earlier this year -- she lost custody of her two children and was taken under observation at the University of California Los Angeles mental ward -- Spears may finally be making moves in the right direction. At least the singer seems to be taking style steps in the right direction.
