Dad Working for Britney Spears Full Time

Britney Spears's father Jamie quit his catering job to dedicate himself full-time to overseeing the pop star's affairs, court papers show. As a result, Jamie Spears was given $10,000 in back pay to cover the first month of his co-conservatorship of her estate, which started Feb. 1, according to the documents. He was awarded a $2,500 weekly salary beginning in March. "The responsibilities he has assumed as conservator ... have required [his] full-time attention," says the request for "replacement compensation." "As a result, he has been unable to continue to his prior employment and he has lost his source of income which he needs to pay his living expenses." Since Jamie Spears took over his daughter's personal and professional affairs, the singer has secured expanded visitation with her two sons, who live with Spears's ex-husband Kevin Federline.Source: People

Brit's plane touched down last night around 7:30 pm and she, her girlfriends (assistants?), Jason Trawick, and her dad disembarked their private jet at Burbank Airport, ending the group's Costa Rican getaway at Mel Gibson's home on the Central American Pacific coast.

Britney Spears Returns From Costa Rican Trip

Spears' five-day Costa Rican getaway with actor Mel Gibson has ended.
On Tuesday, hollywoodtv.com posted footage of the singer, 26, arriving at California's Burbank Glendale Pasadena Airport.
Spears was all smiles during her trip, which she also took with father (and co-conservator) Jamie.
Gibson — Spears' former Malibu neighbor who has helped people with sobriety issues — hosted the Spears clan at his $25.8 million, 402-acre ranch on the Pacific coast since last week.
During the vacation, Spears went body surfing. On Saturday, she was photographed zipping around the beach on an ATV, snapping shots of her dad relaxing in a lounge chair.
She even strutted around in a bikini. (See what she looked like here.)

After spending five relaxing days in the sun and surf of Costa Rica, Britney Spears has returned to her L.A. home.An eyewitness tells OK! that the singer,26, who was vacationing in Costa Rica with Oscar winner Mel Gibson, her father Jamie Spears and her agent, Jason Trawick, arrived at Burbank's Bob Hope Airport shortly after 7:30 p.m. PT. It was just last week that the world got to see a happier Britney frolicking in the waves and riding ATVs along the beach as she continues to recover from her whirlwind year. Pictures showing Brit and Jason being affectionate and flirtatious with each other have sparked rumors that the two may be nurturing more than a professional relationship! Trawick is behind Brit's recent cameos on How I Met Your Mother.But all good things must come to an end. Brit has to focus now on her on-going custody case with ex Kevin Federline. The two are scheduled to meet face-to-face in a private conference this week to hammer out the logistics of their custody agreement. Commissioner Gordon has said that if the two can't come to an agreement, he will set a trial date for sometime in August or September.

The singer, 26, has been soaking up the sun with her dad, Jamie, and actor Mel Gibson (her former Malibu neighbor) for the past few days.

“She is just having some fun,” her former manager Larry Rudolph recently told Us Usmagazine.com of the singer. “She is doing well.”

Britney Spears Apologizes for Behavior

Britney Spears has reportedly apologized to her family for her erratic behavior that has left her under the conservatorship of her father Jamie Spears. Sources say the pop star’s mom Lynne Spears advised her to apologize for her actions.
“Britney was awkward and upset at first, but on her mom Lynne’s advice she took the initiative and gave a speech about how sorry she felt about her wayward behavior in recent months,” says a source. “She said, ‘I’m sorry to have put you through so much. I’m strong deep down and I think the whole thing has made me even stronger. I think now I’m on the right track to being a better mother and a better person, someone you and my boys can be proud of.’”

Spears, 26, recently gained more visitation time with her sons. The boys are currently in full custody of their father Kevin Federline.

Britney Due Back In L.A. Tomorrow

Though Britney Spears has been enjoying her time in Costa Rica with fellow scandal-magnet Mel Gibson and his family, OK! has confirmed that the pop star should be back home in Los Angeles as early as Monday morning, as her presence is required at an important meeting."She has a previously scheduled custody mediation meeting," one insider confirms to OK!, adding that it's highly unlikely the singer will call in sick to this gathering. "With the tight leash that her dad has on her, it would take an act of God for her to not be there."Brit and Mel departed for his family home in Costa Rica last Thursday. The two have apparently grown close since their first meeting over dinner at Romanov in L.A. back in March.

We spotted Britney enjoying the surf and sun with some friends at Mel Gibson's Costa Rican ranch over the weekend. Brit Brit seemed to be at ease as she sipped on cans of Coke and smoked some cigarettes. There has been speculation that Britney is preggers (due to her semi-bloated tummy) but that to me that bulge just looks like she ate big burrito or something.
