Lynne Spears Is Back In Los Angeles…

After a nightmare few months Lynne must feel like the Spears family are finally getting their lives back on track. Her eldest daughter Britney who lost custody of her children and was admitted to psych hospital just last month appears to have finally turned a corner and was even granted a supervised visit with her kids over the weekend and not to be outdone by her big sis 16-year old mum to be Jamie Lynn has passed her GED (general education development) exam this week. Wow, well done Spears’ pats on the back all round…
Brit’s mum touched down at Los Angeles International airport yesterday. Lynne Spears was picked up by Britney’s driver in the singers new Mercedes and was driven straight to her daughters Malibu mansion.

Britney Spears Has Been Robbed, Her Self-Proclaimed Lawyer Insists

What does Britney Spears have to do with racketeering charges?
You might have thought the closest the singer would come to the RICO Act, typically associated with organized crime, would be watching "The Sopranos," but a lawyer who claims to represent the singer is making some serious allegations on her behalf, claiming in federal-court documents that her assets may have been misappropriated. (Her father's lawyers, in the meantime, want the attorney to pay them back for spending time on his claims.)
In a declaration filed Friday, Jon Eardley maintains that the pop star's civil rights have been violated, including her right to be heard "as to the appropriateness" of her father, Jamie Spears, being given co-conservatorship powers over her person and estate. (Jamie, along with attorney Andrew Wallet, were granted the powers when Britney was hospitalized on a psychiatric hold for the second time in a month.) Spears attempted to hire a lawyer, Adam Streisand, to fight the conservatorship, but he stepped down February 7 after the probate court ruled that Britney lacked the capacity to retain direct counsel of her own choosing.

X17 XCLUSIVE - Britney Gets Yanked By Bodyguard!

It looks like Britney is still on a tight leash, unfortunately!
We just caught up with our girl leaving the Levi's Store in Beverly Hills. Brit first surveys the sea of paps before making her way to her car, but before she gets there, one of her bodyguards grabs her hand and yanks her through the crowd! (Watch the video below to see for yourself!)
Aren't these guys supposed to be on her side? This one got a little too rough, we think. And with Brit being on her best behavior recently, this is a big slap in the face. What'll Brit's dad do?
Whatever he does, he's most likely happy today that Brit's conservatorship case was rejected by Federal Judge Philip Gutierrez.
Britney's thankfully back at home now - with her two boys! We're glad she gets to come home to her kids after all this!
Protect her, people - don't pull her!

The Britney Spears Economy: Is She the Next Michael Jackson?

Britney Spears won’t run out of money any time soon, whether her personal fortune is worth $50 million, at the low end of the rumors, or $125 million at the high end. But the biggest problem to the potential of her future earnings will be, you guessed it, hinged upon her ability to clean her act up.Unless a corporate brand is willing to write her an multi-million dollar endorsement cheque to capture the publicity it would generate, or an insurer is willing to bond her for tour with for an outrageous premium, Spears’ days of heavy earning might be on the wane. The New York Times today generated more than 1,500 words discussing the topic, which includes Spears’ income, like $3 million a year from perfume deal with Elizabeth Arden, to expenses, like $16,000 a month for clothing. (Wearing little costs a lot.) It’s all more commentary on the Britney Spears Economy, which the Associated Press has been basking in, and the Times has some catching up to do since publishing a frontpage story on the pop tart in 2002, then deciding she wasn’t newsworthy for a few years, and suddenly deciding to cash in on her pageviews.

The second part of shooting continued for Gimme More on 07 August and ended the night 08 August.People.com and MTV.com announced that Britney actually ended on 7 August shooting of Gimme More, and then begin and end those of a new video. It said that the second video filmed in the day was Piece Of Me, but now we begin to think that the video Break The Ice was shot in the day.

Jamie Spears: Britney's Civil Rights Aren't Being Violated

The battle between Jamie Spears and attorney John Eardley — who's claiming to represent his daughter Britney — intensified Monday.
Eardley has argued that the pop singer's civil rights are being violated because she is being held against her will by her father.
In a response filed Monday, a lawyer for Jamie Spears said that Eardley cannot represent the singer because a probate judge in state court found that she "lacks the capacity to hire an attorney, and Mr. Eardley cannot remove the conservatorship proceedings on his own behalf."
(Jamie Spears became his daughter's co-conservator last month after she was taken to the UCLA Medical Center for psychological evaluation.)
Jamie Spears' attorney claimed Eardley's attempt to move the case to federal court is without legal basis and is hurting Jamie Spears financially.
But Eardley isn't letting up.
In papers filed Friday, Eardley said Jamie "has now moved into her house and has taken control of her financial assets, as well as her physical custody, all without the benefit of a hearing where Ms. Spears would be present."
Eardley argued that the singer has never been on good terms with her father and he was "concerned for the emotional and physical safety of Britney under these circumstances."
Eardley — who told the Associated Press that he has also filed additional documents under seal Monday — said he expected a hearing to be set soon.
Asked when he last spoke with Britney, Eardley told the AP, "I talked to her few days ago and someone wrestled the phone away from her. I've not talked to her since then."

Federal Court Denies Britney

Britney Spears remains Superior.
A federal judge sent the troubled pop star's conservatorship case back to probate court Tuesday, rejecting a claim by Britney's questionably hired attorney that the local system's decision to temporarily place dad Jamie Spears in charge of her affairs had violated her civil rights.
And, like Jamie and coconservator Andrew Wallet, U.S. District Judge Philip Gutierrez didn't feel that New York-based attorney Jon Eardley had the right to be filing motions on Spears' behalf.
"Mr. Eardley fails to explain why he can bring this claim for her in the first instance. He cannot," Gutierrez wrote in a three-page ruling. "Mr. Eardley had no authority to remove the case from state court. He is neither a party nor a defendant. While he claims to be Ms. Spears's attorney, the probate court...found that she was incapable of retaining her own counsel."
Gutierrez also denied a motion filed by Jamie Spears' camp Monday demanding $43,000 in attorneys' fees from Eardley to compensate for the extra court time.
L.A. Superior Court Commissioner Reva Goetz said last week that Britney's case was "in a holding pattern" until the federal judge issued a decision. She also refused to review any documents filed in U.S. District Court, saying she wanted to "keep the line of demarcation clear so no one thinks I'm overstepping my bounds."
Eardley argued in court documents filed Friday that Britney retained him on Feb. 12, before her phone was taken away and her line disconnected.
But Goetz determined nearly two weeks beforehand that Britney wasn't capable of hiring her own counsel. The "Toxic" songstress had tried to retain Century City legal eagle Adam Streisand to fight the conservatorship while she was still under observation at UCLA Medical Center, but the lawyer said upon her release that he was unable to take the case.

Judge Rejects Civil Rights Challenge in Britney Case

A federal judge on Tuesday rejected a civil rights challenge in Britney Spears's conservatorship case, allowing the pop star's father to maintain his temporary control of her $100 million estate. U.S. District Judge Philip Gutierrez returned the case to state probate court and sent a rebuke to the lawyer who launched the challenge, Jon Eardley, who had claimed to represent Spears. "Mr. Eardley fails to explain why he can bring this claim for her in the first instance. He cannot," Gutierrez said in his three-page ruling. "Mr. Eardley had no authority to remove the case from state court. He is neither a party nor a defendant. While he claims to be Ms. Spears's attorney, the probate court ... found that she was incapable of retaining her own counsel."
Ruling a Victory for Britney's FatherThe ruling was a victory for Spears's father, Jamie, who was named as a temporary co-conservator of her estate by the California probate court after Spears was placed under an involuntary, emergency hold at the UCLA Medical Center's psychiatric ward late last month. As temporary co-conservator, Jamie has great influence over the pop star's fortune as well as her day-to-day activities. In a highly publicized move, Eardley, a lawyer with practices in Washington, D.C., New York and Whittier, Calif., filed a complaint in U.S. District Court on behalf of Spears. He lashed out against the conservatorship as a "violation of [Spears's] civil rights," and requested the case be moved from California state court to a federal court. Jamie Spears and the other temporary co-conservator, attorney Andrew Wallet, had called Eardley's move "a brazen – but vain – attempt to strip a probate court of jurisdiction ... by an attorney without a client."
Britney Goes Jeans ShoppingWhile the federal judge ruled in Jamie Spears's favor, Britney ventured out for an afternoon shopping trip. Spears, accompanied by her assistant and a family friend, arrived at the Levi's Store in Beverly Hills in a chauffeur-driven black Escalade ESV. "Britney walked in to the store in jeans with a green top and a huge smile," eyewitness Brenda Gold tells PEOPLE.

Brit Does More Retail Therapy

Britney did a little bit more retail therapy today in Beverly Hills, stopping by different boutiques including the Levi’s store. We all need the original 501’s. Brit’s been on super good behavior lately, taking dance classes at Millenium and hanging out with her man, Adnan, at home. Her dad Jamie is still around, so many kudos to him for helping her out big time. She’s looking really cute in these pics, isn’t she? She took a break from those beige boots she loves so much and is wearing some fierce heels. Go, Brit. I know y’all want to see more photos of her, so I’ll shut my trap now. Those said pics are available for your viewing pleasure below. Have at them.

Britney's Case Stays Local

A federal judge ruled today that Britney Spears' conservatorship case should stay at the Los Angeles Superior Court.
Federal District Judge Philip Gutierrez decided that civil rights' lawyer Jon Eardley — who claims to represent Brit — had "no authority" to remove the case from the state court to the federal system. The next conservatorship hearing is March 10.
Meanwhile, Brit continues on her universal girl quest for the perfect pair of jeans. The pop mom was out at the Levi's store in Los Angeles today, doing just that when she ran into a herd of photogs. She seems to be looking awhole lot better BTW.

Michael Sands To Tell All

Michael Sands, current spokesman for Sam Lutfi and Jon Eardley and former spokesman for Mark Vincent Kaplan, will very soon be deposed in Britney Spears' custody case.PageSix.com has exclusively learned that Sands, who had been subpoenaed by Brit lawyers Trope and Trope, will now be questioned by new Spears family law attorney Stacey Phillips at her Los Angeles office on March 5.
Inside sources explain that Kaplan, K-Fed's lawyer, "is extremely nervous and apprehensive about the deposition and is expected to object to any line of questioning that Michael could have been privy to while he worked for Kaplan."
And we don't blame him. An enthusiastic Sands exclusively tells us, "I welcome the opportunity to testify under oath about what Mark said to me about Sam Lutfi, and I'm willing to take a lie detector test to talk about what the truth is about Sam Lutfi and other specifics regarding the ongoing custody battle. I wonder why Mark is worried about my deposition."Sands adds that he would also be happy to testify at Sam's restraining-order hearing, slated for March 17, telling us, "Ye shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free!"

Britney Banned From Beverly Hills Hotel

The Beverly Hills Hotel prides itself on being "referred to locally as 'The Pink Palace' … a place to see and be seen, to catch glimpses of famous faces, or to revel in splendid luxury." One face you won't be seeing reveling in splendid luxury, however, is pop wreck Britney Spears. A source at the hotel told PageSix.com that the staff has "specific instructions to turn her away. People come here to get away from that. She brings too much 'trouble' with her."

The source explained that the entire staff was required to attend a meeting recently that was specifically about turning away the "Toxic" mother of two. "There is one person assigned to come outside and start directing the process of getting her turned away," the source revealed.
Although Brit has been denied, our source reveals, "She doesn't listen. She comes back anyway." Like she did on February 6 (pictured), when, fresh out of the psych ward, she checked in to meet with paparazzo boyfriend Adnan Ghalib and an attorney. Paparazzi mobbed the hotel as the singer arrived, and LAPD officers were called in. Later that night, Jamie Spears arrived, allegedly wanting to take his daughter home. Police presence was increased before Brit and Adnan were secretly driven home by another paparazzo.
There's no room at this inn, Britney, but luckily there are plenty more hotels in L.A. that might accommodate you and your traveling circus.

Larry Birkhead Says Brit's No Anna Nicole

Larry Birkhead is speaking out about Britney Spears, but it's not what you think. He says those who try to compare the embattled popstar to Anna Nicole Smith are rushing to judgment — and he's still holding out hope that Brit will turn her life around.
"People often try to compare, they're quick to compare, Britney to Anna Nicole and I think the situation is a little bit different," Larry says. "You know Anna lost her son, who died, you know, at a very young age, Britney Spears lost custody of her kids and I think, I don't know what medically is wrong with Britney Spears, I'm not a doctor."
But despite the differences between Britney and Anna Nicole, Larry admits they've got some things in common.
"I think it's a little bit different but I think the similarities would be Hollywood, the surroundings, the spotlight and what they can do and how they can change individuals," Larry says.
And despite witnessing the ill-fated stardom of Anna Nicole, who is the mother of his daughter, Dannielynn, Larry thinks 26-year-old Britney may still be able to turn her life around. "I think that, hopefully, Britney Spears will be on the road to recovery," he says.

Don't Bring Britney to the Federal Court

Jamie Spears continues to fight for his right to be his daughter's conservator. In a response to papers filed in federal court Friday by attorney Jon Eardley, Jamie contends in papers today that Britney "does not have the capacity to retain counsel, and for this reason alone" the case must be sent back to superior court.
Eardley is seeking to move the case to the federal level because he believes Britney's rights are not being protected by the Los Angeles court system. As he claims in the declaration, "[Britney] has been denied her fundamental rights to associate with the outside world. The conservatorship has taken away significant liberties from the individual." The pop star's alleged attorney also states that "there are financial issues which involve the possible misappropriation of assets" and that Britney isn't happy with dad Jamie — that there have been verbal attacks by Jamie and that Britney is concerned for her emotional and physical safety.
"Mr. Eardley cannot create a federal question concerning the probate court's application," Jamie stated today in his response.Judge Gutierrez is expected to rule this week on the matter, and the case will most likely be sent back to the Los Angeles Superior Court.

Report: Britney Sees Her Boys Again

This week started off on the right foot for Britney Spears as she got to spend more time with her sons, 1-year-old Jayden James and 2-year-old Sean Preston, this morning. The boys were brought to Brit's L.A. home in Kevin Federline's gray Dodge Viper at around 9 a.m. and they stayed for just a little over three hours, reports E! News.
This visit comes hot on the heels of the first visit Britney, 26, had with her kids on Saturday (pictured left), which was almost two months since she had last seen them. A source close to Britney tells PageSix.com that when she saw the kids on Saturday, the visit "went really well."
This is a good sign that Britney is not only getting her life back on track, but that she and Kevin are dedicated to creating a healthy environment in which to raise their children.

Brit's Conservators Fire Back at Civil Rights Challenge

Attorneys for Britney Spears' conservators filed another round of papers in federal court on Monday, urging a judge to quickly end a civil rights challenge to Jamie's control of his daughter's $100 million dollar estate and keep the co-conservatorship in place.
Attorney Jon Eardley claims to represent the troubled pop star. In legal documents he said that Britney hired him on Feb. 12, six days after her conservatorship was put in place. He claims he has "learned that there have been significant verbal attacks" made against Britney by her father, Jamie Spears, and is concerned for her "emotional and physical safety." Eardley goes on to say that during one phone call with Britney, someone snatched the phone out of her hands and disconnected the line a day later. He insists that Britney is unhappy with her father as her conservator and he claims that the case in state court violates her constitutional rights.
But in a motion filed on Monday, lawyers for Britney's conservatorship said that Eardley has failed to prove that he even qualifies as Britney's attorney (under Brit's conservatorship, she no longer has the authority to choose her own counsel) nor has he been able to address the most fundemental legal issues in the case.U.S. District Court Judge Philip Gutierrez had asked Eardley to file papers by Feb. 22, explaining the civil rights challenge. However, Eardley told the judge he needed more time to formally file.
The conservatorship motion asks that the case be immediately returned to Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Reva Goetz, and that Eardley be forced to reimburse $43,000 in attorney fees.

Britney's Visitations "Going Very Well"

While the rest of Hollywood was getting over their Oscar hangover on Monday morning, Britney Spears was enjoying the second visit from her two young sons in three days."It went very well," a source close to the pop star tells OK! about this second visit, which lasted from 9am to noon PT on Monday. "The boys are really happy to see their mom."Even those who you'd expect to be most skeptical about the visits, like Mark Vincent Kaplan, lawyer for Brit's ex-husband Kevin Federline, seemed upbeat on Monday. "These visitations with the boys will help to normalize the family environment," Kaplan told OK!. "Kevin has always been rooting for Britney to regain visitation... and if these visits go well, they will ramp up over time."In fact, says the Britney insider, the rumor around the Spears house is that Sean Preston, 2, and one-year-old Jayden James could soon be visiting up to three times a week — so long as the singer continues to follow the rules and as long as certain people are present for the visits.Sources confirm to OK! that the people required to be on hand for the boys' visits to their mom include her father Jamie Spears, one of K-Fed's bodyguards, Britney's psychologist, the court-appointed monitor and a lawyer representing the conservatorship."It's a lot, for sure," one legal source explains to OK!. "But if she really wants those kids back, she won't complain about all the people looking over her shoulder."And speaking of the ongoing custody battle for the two boys, Kaplan confirms to OK! that the original April 9 start date for the actual hearing will likely not go down as scheduled for several reasons, including the fact that the court needs to finish its custody evaluation of both parents. This evaluation will consider, among other factors, how each parent interacts with the children, each parent's personal behavior and lifestyle, and how the exes behave together in front of the children.A more likely start date for the case, says Kaplan, who also requested the Britney undergo a psychiatric evaluation, would be in the early summer.

Jamie Lynn Spears Passes Her GED Exam

Out of the spotlight after revealing her pregnancy, 16-year-old Jamie Lynn Spears is moving ahead with her life, passing her GED and thinking about college, a family friend tells PEOPLE. The Zoey 101 star passed her high school equivalency exam about a month ago – scoring particularly well on reading comprehension – and is looking to take the ACT college entrance test, the friend says. "She's already got her diploma," according to the friend. "She wants to take her ACT. She's not wasting any time. People don't know her. When she gets something in her head, she'll make it happen. Everybody is so supportive of her."Last month, Britney's younger sister was photographed in Hammond, La., carrying a GED book. She was accompanied by her mom Lynne outside a building that houses both the Tangipahoa Parish School System Adult Education Center, which is a GED preparation site, and the Title I Parent Center, which teaches parents how to help their children develop learning skills.

Shar Jackson Calls Britney Spears' Reunion With Boys "a Good Thing"

Shar Jackson is happy Britney Spears has reunited with her boys.
"I believe that kids need their parents and parents need to be with their kids," she told Usmagazine.com at the Night of 100 Stars party at the Beverly Hills Hotel Saturday night. "It is a good thing."
On Saturday afternoon, Spears' boys, Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 17 months, popped by her Beverly Hills, California, home, for nearly three hours after Kevin Federline agreed to restore her visitation rights. (She hadn't seen her boys in seven weeks since she was hospitalized at the UCLA Medical Center.)
Federline's counsel Mark Vincent Kaplan tells Us the reunion "couldn’t have happened without" the help of Spears' father, Jamie.
"We were able to get it to a point where everyone was comfortable,” Kaplan tells Us.
“We’re just very positive about it. Having her dad [Jamie Spears] stabilizing everything is a good thing."
Kaplan called Saturday's reunion "a major step," adding that “the goal” for the pair to share joint custody again.
“Whether that happens or not, I don’t know,” Kaplan tells Us, “but Kevin would love to be able to have a parenting partner in helping to raise these kids.”

Britney Spears Gets a Visit From Her Sons Again

Britney Spears Photo by: Fame
Britney Spears saw her sons again Monday, while her father sought to quickly end a civil rights challenge to his control of her affairs. The singer's children Preston, 2, and Jayden, 1, were driven to her Studio House by Kevin Federline's bodyguard for a three-hour visit. It was the second visitation in three days; on Saturday, Spears saw her children for the first time since Jan. 3 after working out a structured visitation arrangement with Federline. Meanwhile, attorneys for Spears's father Jamie filed another round of papers in federal court on Monday, urging a judge to quickly end a civil rights challenge to Jamie's control of his daughter's $100 million estate and keep the co-conservatorship case in state court.
Lawyer Needs More TimeJon Eardley, an attorney who claims to represent the pop star, had been asked by U.S. District Court Judge Philip Gutierrez to file papers by Feb. 22 explaining the civil rights challenge. Instead, Eardley on Friday told the judge he needed more time to formally file. In legal documents, Eardley claims that Britney retained him Feb. 12 before her phone was taken away and the line disconnected. Eardley also continued to maintain that the conservatorship case in state court violates her constitutional rights. But in motion filed Monday, the conservatorship attorneys say Eardley, in addition to failing to meet the court's filing deadline, has not proven that he even qualifies as Britney's attorney or addressed the most fundamental legal issues in the case. The conservatorship motion asks that the case be immediately returned to Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Reva Goetz, and that Eardley be forced to reimburse $43,000 in attorney fees. While the civil rights issue remained unresolved in federal court, the conservatorship case in state court is stalled. "There's nothing for this court to do today. We're in a holding pattern," said Goetz at a hearing Friday.

We at the JFX offices are wondering why Britney’s not smiling in these photos. She had a great day after all. She saw her kiddies and no one’s mobbing her. Plus, she got a chance to dance to her heart’s content. Brit was once again at Millenium Dance Studio in North Hollywood, getting toned up and ready for her comeback. Britney’s been on good behavior lately and it has obviously been earning points with K-Fed and daddy Jamie. Let’s hope she stays on the road to recovery. More pics of Brit are on the way. Enjoy.

Britney Visits with Kids Monday

Sean Preston and Jayden James stayed at least half an hour longer than expected. I guess this visit was a succesful one.

It’s great to be able to exclusively report that Britney visited with her kids in her Summit home. Kevin’s bodyguard drove into The Summit estates early this morning and is still there as his presence during the visitation is one of the conditions that Kevin stipulated for the visitations. This is the second visitation Britney has had with her children since her father brokered a deal with Kevin Federline.
