BRITNEY SPEARS and KEVIN FEDERLINE's lawyers are battling in court over the former dancer's legal fees from their bitter custody battle. Spears' new lawyer Stacy Phillips is angry Federline's representative and the pop star's former legal firm Trope & Trope have racked up bills of $900,000 (#450,00) in just four months - fees Spears has been ordered to pay herself.
Phillips claims Federline's attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan's fees are excessive - and that Federline can afford to pay his fees himself.
She also accuses Federline of failing to separate business and personal expenses, and claims his ex-girlfriend and mother of his other two children, Shar Jackson, has access to his business credit card which she uses for personal purposes.
Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon, who is presiding over the case, plans to take time to consider the issue of fees.
Spears and Federline are currently battling over custody of their two sons: Sean Preston, two, and Jayden James, one. Federline currently has full custody of the kids.
