Despite the fact that How I Met Your Mother star Neil Patrick Harris has been somewhat outspoken on the subject of guest star Britney Spears — first saying that her mere being on the set wreaked havoc with the production, and then later telling reporters that he didn't think the show needed to resort to "stunt casting" to get ratings — the pair appear to be working in perfect harmony in this first shot from Britney's upcoming second appearance on the CBS hit.SPOILER ALERT: For fans of How I Met Your Mother who don't want to know what happens when Brit-Brit makes her return appearance on May 12, stop reading now. It was a family affair Saturday as mom-to-be Jamie Lynn Spears was feted with an intimate baby shower in Kentwood, La. About 30 guests were invited – including big sis Britney – to Kentwood for a ladies-only, catered celebration for the 17-year-old at the family's Serenity mansion. (Spears hadn't been back to her hometown since her aunt's funeral early last year.) "Jamie Lynn opened every gift," says a source, adding that mom Lynne and fiancé Casey Aldridge's mother lent a hand. "We all sat in a circle and she opened gifts and thanked every person. Britney Spears’ Kentwood Weekend
Britney Spears headed back home to spend some quality time with her family in Kentwood, Louisiana over the weekend.
And the Gimme More singer was spotted relaxing on the patio yesterday afternoon during a day full of baby shower activities for pregnant 17-year-old sister Jamie Lynn.
Britney flew into Kentwood aboard a private jet on Friday (May 2), with her father/co-conservator Jamie Spears by her side - making it the first venture back home since her aunt’s death in early 2007.
From here, reports tell that Spears “is expected to be in LA on Tuesday to attend the next court hearing in her child custody dispute with former husband Kevin Federline on May 6.”

Ezekiel: Honestly, I know me personally, I’ve wanted to work with Britney Spears forever to be honest. So honestly, I don’t think for any of us it was hard.
I think we all wanted to work with Britney and we were motivated to give her something that was great that was going to help her project become a great project to come back with.
J.Que: Exactly. And also when we went in to create the record – and stop me if I’m wrong in this one, Zeke – I think the one thing we were all trying to make sure is that we didn’t touch on anything that was really dealing with all the stuff that she was dealing with.
Just something that all things are equal and all things are great. Some things you really just like to hear her talking about. We went in and sat down to create a record for the Britney Spears that we know and love.
Ezekiel: That we know and love, exactly. We didn’t want to touch any of that personal stuff. We really thought it was supposed to be the third single but now we’re hearing that it’s the definite fourth single so we’re excited.
J.Que: I definitely think they need to go ahead and put it out.
Ezekiel: That was a fun song to work on though.
J.Que: When I tell you she was the best – minus she got there a little late. She did show up a little late. But when she showed up, I think it caught both of us off guard ‘cause Zeke and I flew to New York to record the record on this.
And I think it caught both of us off guard because, when I tell you when she walked in the booth she stayed in the booth until the sun came up.
Ezekiel: Yeah she was there. She almost outlasted me, I don’t know.
J.Que: It was absolutely nuts, and she took directions very well. I agree like I don’t know what I was expecting because we went in to cut that record the day after she filed divorce from Kevin.
Ezekiel: Right.
J.Que: So we were expecting all kind of nonsense and she was super professional and when she got in the booth, she was super-efficient.

The rapper/ dancer has agreed to let Sean Preston and Jayden James to spend 11 May (08) with their popstar mum, who lost their custody after she staged a stand-off with police, emergency services officials and childcare experts when she refused to handover her sons after a scheduled visitation in January (08).
While K-Fed has full custody of the kids, the couple have been battling the custody order ever since.

Her dad has moved in with her, she is cleaning up and getting herself back in great shape. She is also working again, and she will have another guest spot on "How I Met Your Mother." Is it a baby girl for the little sister of Britney Spears? Reports have claimed both a boy and a girl using various sources for Jamie Lynn Spears but this week's Life & Style weekly will report that Jamie Lynne is going to have a baby girl. They also reveal the due date for the niece of Britney Spears. According to the magazine report the due date is June 29th!
The magazine will report that granny Lynne Spears is reportedly delighted that she's finally going to have a granddaughter. However, an insider cited in the story overheard Lynne say baby daddy, Casey, is "a bit nervous about having a daughter."
Who can blame him as the Spears girls have certainly had their troubles. Jamie Lynn, on the other hand, is eagerly prepping for the arrival of the little baby. Britney Spears Attempting to Regain Custody of Sons
Britney Spears has begun the process of regaining custody of her two sons. The pop star was ordered to be observed with her boys by a court appointed doctor, Jane Shatz. Shatz returned the results to the court overseeing Spears’ case.
The court will read the report, which is hundreds of pages, and discuss the results at Spears’ next hearing. The hearing has been set for May 6th.
Spears will most likely be requesting overnight visits with the boys. Her ex-husband Kevin Federline currently has full custody of the boys. The 26-year-old singer is allowed day visits.
Meanwhile, Spears has headed back to work. She recently began filming her second episode of ‘How I Met Your Mother.’

Driving away from a Bally Total Fitness gym in Culver City, Calif., recently, Britney was smiling from ear to ear --- and with good reason. The singer has been sweating up a storm in an attempt to get in shape, and thanks to three-times-a-day workouts and a five-small-meals-a-day diet, Britney, 26, is already on her way to getting back her sexy body."We're very excited to see Britney using our clubs so often and enjoying her workouts," Bally's chief marketing officer John Wildman tells OK!. "She's taking advantage of our personal training and nutritional programs and getting great results. She's working extremely hard on both programs."Now Brit is working with Bally's trainer Mark Corlis, an insider tells OK!. "She's doing really well with him," the source says. "Mark doesn't cut Britney any slack. He doesn't baby her, and that's why she likes him."Britney's exercise program is called Active Recovery. That's when you work each muscle group intently for a short period of time until you exhaust it, moving --- without resting --- from muscle group to muscle group. Britney Spears Rehearses for Mother
The back-to-business Britney Spears arrived bright and early to the Fox Studios in Century City on Tuesday for a table read in preparation for her second guest appearance on the CBS sitcom How I Met Your Mother.
Spears headed out around 8:30 am and made a quick stop at Starbucks in Beverly Hills before arriving at Fox.
Spears first appeared on the show in late March playing a receptionist named Abby and will return to the role in an episode titled “Everything Must Go” airing May 12. In the episode, Spears and Barney (Neil Patrick Harris’s character) taunt Ted, played by Josh Radnor, by pretending they’re in a relationship. Barney, who is desperate for a response from Abby pops her a shocking question.
The singer’s first spot on the show earned her positive reviews and brought in the show’s highest ratings yet.

Hollywood.TV's cameras were wondering if we were Toxic when we got to follow Britney Spears for the day in this exclusive footage.
Britney is now well into her Larry Rudolph regime and we get what's becoming the norm. They may keep denying a comeback but Britney's at the studio then on to the gym. And boy is the security beefing up. There's no more cameras than before but the security is coming in at darn near one for one. It ain't pretty.
Britney's working that body of hers and the security want to keep us right away. So what's up? Holding up a tarpaulin to stop us seeing Britney leaving her car? Our first thought was a new hairstyle. Maybe she's had something special done. We're not saying bald again, but maybe bangs or streaks or something. Maybe it was a new look?
We catch Britney again later and the hair is Britney hair. No change that we can see.
But, hold it! That black dress looks kind of familiar. Didn't she step out of the car wearing this the other day? And she has a little helper just tweak it at the back. Like something you'd do to keep a towel on. Was the sheet being held up for a wardrobe malfunction? Or does the little black dress hide a littler stage costume? Yes, we're clutching at straws here, but it makes you think.
Even if Britney isn't heading for a comeback we hope the time in the studio and gym is bringing back some of her old love for performing. Little reminders of how good it can be. Come on Brit. You have a world full of fans out there!

Before you start to think that Britney Spears is going back to her mad ways I have to tell you that thankfully this is not the case. Britney was caught in the Gym with just a towel wrapped around her body as she had just completed a very hard workout and then went to get changed. She then realized that she had forgotten her bottle of water and decided to stay in her towel from the changing rooms.
A few people from the gym watched in disbelief as they was met with this once mad singer standing in the middle of the gym with just a towel on, and you could tell that Spears could not hide her smirk. We should remember that Britney is now doing a great job with not only trying to get her body back into the fit shape that it once was but also trying to get her private life and singing career back on track.

The report, commissioned by a Los Angeles family court in Spears' ongoing battle with ex-hubby Kevin Federline over young sons Sean Preston and Jayden James, was filed Friday by Dr. Jane Shatz.
Lawyers for both Spears and Federline declined to comment on the substance of the document.
While no specific positives or criticisms have been made public, the report's findings are expected to get a full airing at the next hearing in the case, set for May 6, when attorneys are planning to debate merits of a modified custody arrangement.
Spears, who has typically avoided courtroom showdowns in the matter, may actually show this time to defend herself.
